BOTOX
Do you have wrinkles, frown lines, crows’ feet, a tired, or angry look?
Dr. Mendes has been performing Botox injections for over twenty years. He was interviewed on national TV about Botox treatments. Sometimes Botox is used in compbination with injectable fillers, or to refine your result following surgery such as a facelift. Botox is a medication that is used to reduce muscle contraction that causes wrinkles and furrows (such as bunny lines and crows’ feet). Botox can also be used as a treatment for migraine headaches.
Botox injections can help to smooth out frown lines and wrinkles, and bring a look to your face that is fresh, vital and rejuvenated.

Injectable Fillers
Do you have wrinkles, frown lines, or marionette lines?
Injectable fillers have become a very popular way to treat early signs of aging. Dr. Mendes can treat your wrinkles by gently injecting the filler under the skin. By doing this, Dr. Mendes can make wrinkles and depressions look less obvious. Dr. Mendes also performs facial structural sculpting, using the Di- Maio 8-Point (Juvederm) technique to reshape and in some cases “lift” the tissue of your face. Dr. Mendes uses only the highest quality absorbable fillers (Restylane, Perlane, Juvederm). Injectable fillers can also be used to rejuvenate the hands and other areas of the body. Contouring can also be done with autologous fat grafting (fat injection).

Skin Cancer / Moh’s Surgery
Do you have a suspicious skin lesion?
Have you been diagnosed with Skin Cancer?
Our intense sun here in Israel put us all at risk for developing skin cancer. There are several kinds of skin cancer. The most common are basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). Another type of skin cancer is malignant melanoma.
Dr. Mendes treats BCC and SCC of the face with a technique called Moh’s surgery. Dr. Mendes removes the tumor, places a dressing on the patient’s open wound, and, while the patient waits, the tissue is examined to see if the entire tumor was removed. The Moh’s surgery technique was developed to alow a more comprehensive examination of the margins of the wound. If residual tumor is found, additional tissue is removed and examined (in stages), with the goal of achieving wound excision margins that are clear of tumor. Once that is accomplished, closure of the wound can be performed. This may entail suturing of the wound, or a more complex reconstructive procedure.
Moh’s surgery is a specialized, highly effective technique for removing skin cancers. Its purpose is to remove skin cancers with maximal effectiveness and minimal tissue loss.
The Quick Facts
What I am Treating
Skin cancer – Basal Cell Carcinoma, Squamous Cell Carcinoma – of the face and scalp
Goal of Treatment
Facial Skin Cancer removal with maximal effectiveness and minimal tissue loss
Duration of Treatment
Most cases can be completed in three or fewer stages, requiring less than four hours. However, no one can predict how extensive the cancer might be, and how many staged will be needed. Additionally, reconstructive surgery may be required.
Return to Daily Activities
Depends n the extent of the surgery. If your wound is repaired with simple suturing, you may be able to return to your usual activities fairly soon. However, if extensive reconstructive surgery needs to be performed, recovery may be prolonged.
